Several local high school teams have already embraced the CORE program in their training regimen:
  • The successful Lincoln High School Lady Tiger basketball team employed the program over the last two seasons. During that time span only three minor ankle sprains occurred.

  • The CORE program was put in place last season at Skyline High School for the Lady Raiders and only one injury happened – a mild ankle sprain.

  • For the Madison High School track team, numerous muscle strains sustained last season dropped to zero this season. This almost certainly contributed to Madison's team winning the 2007 state championship.

  • Pre- and post- program results for 34 athletes tested at Dallas Skyline and Longview Pine Tree High Schools showed significant improvement in core stability averaging over 90%, with a maximal improvement of 256%.

  • Athletes tested at Pine Tree also demonstrated improvement in all athletic parameters measured, averaging 2%. Forty yard dash time improved up to 0.24 seconds, vertical jump height increased to a maximum of 2.4 inches and broad jump distance increased up to 9 inches.
In addition:
  • The Highland Park girl's soccer team has been screened.

  • The Highland Park girl's track team, Woodrow Wilson High School volleyball team, Seagoville High School football team, Ursuline Academy of Dallas, Tatum High School and Kilgore High School have expressed high interest in incorporating the CORE program.

  • CORE will also be instituted in a Physical Education class for fourth and fifth graders at Pine Tree Middle School to help establish at an early age the core foundation all athletes need.
